About our team

I am excited to introduce myself as a private nurse and carer dedicated to providing exceptional care. Born and raised on Kangaroo Island, I sincerely appreciate the importance of health and the wellbeing of individuals in our community. 2003 my nursing career journey began when I trained at Flinders University until 2005. Since then, my career has led me on a grand adventure filled with diverse experiences and eye-opening encounters. After graduating, I worked at the renowned Brisbane Mater Hospital from 2006 to 2009. During this period, I had the opportunity to work in two distinct areas that profoundly shaped my nursing practice: Oncology and Adults Emergency. These specialties gave me invaluable insights into the challenges faced by patients with complex medical conditions. Witnessing their resilience and determination inspired me to provide the highest quality of care and support to those in need. While dedicated to my profession, I also nurtured my adventurous spirit by travelling on worldly adventures, allowing me to explore different cultures and gain a broader perspective on the world. These experiences enriched my personal growth and deepened my understanding of the diverse needs and sensitivities of individuals from various backgrounds. In 2010, I joined the Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital paediatric emergency department team. I completed post-graduate studies in paediatric emergency nursing, further expanding my expertise in providing specialised care for children. This rewarding experience allowed me to significantly impact the lives of children and their families during vulnerable and crucial moments. Seeking new challenges and opportunities to serve underprivileged communities and to satisfy my sense of adventure, my girlfriend (now wife) and I ventured to the Kintore Aboriginal Community in remote Australia from 2012 to 2014. This experience enabled me to immerse myself in a unique cultural setting while offering healthcare services to a marginalised population. Alongside my professional growth, I embarked on personal milestones, including more international travels and embracing the joys of marriage. Following my time in Kintore, I joined the Emergency Department of Noarlunga, where I provided urgent medical care and support to patients in critical situations from 2014 to 2018. During this period, I was blessed with the arrival of my two beautiful children. This experience further fueled my passion for delivering compassionate care to individuals of all ages. 2018 I embraced another new adventure to the remote Groote Eylande, Northern Territory. This opportunity exposed me to the unique challenges and rewards of healthcare delivery in remote areas where access to medical services is limited. The rich cultural tapestry of the community, coupled with the profound impact I had on the lives of those in need, made this experience truly unforgettable. In 2021, I returned to my roots on Kangaroo Island, where I dedicated myself to providing exceptional private nursing care. Drawing upon my extensive experience and diverse background, I bring a compassionate and personalized approach to my practice. I believe in fostering open communication, building trusting relationships, and tailoring my care to meet the unique needs of each individual I serve. I am passionate about ongoing professional development and continually seek to expand my knowledge to provide the most advanced and evidence-based care to my patients, as I am now studying the well-established field of hypnotherapy. As a private nurse and carer, I understand the importance of trust, privacy, and professionalism. If you seek compassionate and expert care that puts your wellbeing first, please don't hesitate to reach out. Whether you require support in the comfort of your home for short or extended periods, I am here to accompany you on your healthcare journey with unwavering dedication and a commitment to your holistic wellbeing. |
